Summary

For many, distinguishing between normal aging and cognitive decline can be confusing, frustrating, and even emotionally distressing. Being able to identify these eight key warning signs may help distinguish between normal aging and cognitive decline.

 

As a family member or caregiver, the first step is to understand and familiarize yourself with the most common indicators of cognitive decline.

Approximately 40% of adults over 65 will experience some form of memory loss.
