Company recognized for its programs and policies to advance women
TIAA-CREF was named to The National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) Top 10 Nonprofit Companies for Executive Women for 2015. The list is featured in the February/March issue of Working Mother.
NAFE, founded in 1972, serves 20,000 members nationwide with networking, tools and solutions to strengthen and grow their careers and businesses. Working Mother magazine publishes the annual NAFE Top Companies list. Companies were chosen based on their programs and policies that promote the advancement of women as well as the training and accountability of managers in relation to the number of women who advance.
"It's an honor to be recognized by NAFE for creating an environment that enables women to grow and succeed, "said Teresa Hassara, who leads the Institutional Business. "At our company, 33% of executive leaders are women, nearly three times the national average for financial services companies. And we continue to provide women with career development opportunities and leadership skills through our Women's Employee Resource Group."
