Wayne Baker
Wayne is Chief Investment Officer of TIAA Ventures. Prior to TIAA he spent over twenty-five years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, DLJ, Credit Suisse, and Citi. Wayne lives in New York City with his wife and two sons.
Thompson Barro
Thompson is an Investor at TIAA Ventures where he is responsible for the sourcing, diligence, and execution of venture investments. He has held positions at Goldman Sachs, Apollo, Scout Ventures and Citi Ventures. Thompson currently resides in New York City and is originally from Louisiana.
Sam Mindlin
Sam is Head of Business Development and is responsible for delivering TIAA Ventures’ strategic mandate. He facilitates commercial relationships between portfolio companies, startups, and TIAA to drive growth and enable innovation. Sam has held positions with SMBC and Intercontinental Exchange. He lives in New York with his wife and two children.
Amber Randolph
Amber is the Business Manager supporting TIAA Ventures and handling Business Management needs. She is a long-time TIAA employee based in Charlotte.
Kim Mason
Kim is an Executive Assistant and has worked with TIAA since 2024 and resides in New Jersey. She provides administrative support to various senior leaders including, but not limited to calendar management, travel and expense management, meeting planning and coordination, and external event tracking.
