Employees hired on or after July 1, 2010 receive an employer contribution of 8.9% and are required to contribute a 5% member contribution. Those employees hired on or after January 1, 1991 and prior to July 1, 2010 receive 10.4%. Those employees hired prior to January 1, 1991 receive either 10.4% on their entire salary or 11.5% on a maximum of $100,000, which ever is greater.
All full- and part-time salaried faculty (not restricted by a temporary appointment), University Staff Managerial & Professional, and Executive & Senior Administrative employees are eligible to participate immediately. Visiting faculty members are not eligible to participate in the plan.
