The University moved to TIAA as the single recordkeeper for the UNC System Retirement Plans. We are working closely with TIAA and Fidelity on a transition plan.

A detailed Transition Guide will be mailed to UNC System Retirement Plan participants sometime late January 2024. The Transition Guide will provide details on key dates, specific action steps, and resources available to you.

Fidelity participants will be automatically enrolled with TIAA early next year, however those who wish to enroll and start contributing into the ORP, 403(b), and 457(b) with TIAA prior to payroll contributions being redirected should notify their University’s HR Benefits department (a new SRA/SDA agreement is needed for the 403(b)/457(b) plans).
