403(b) Retirement Savings Plan for Union Represented Employees

Your elected contributions are automatically deducted from your salary. You can make a contribution from 1% to a maximum of 75% per paycheck, not to exceed $19,500 in 2021. The catch-up contribution limit for employees age 50 and over is $6,500. For more information, see the Summary Plan Description.
 
CHOP MATCHING
 
If you participate in the plan and work for CHOP for one year, you will automatically receive an employer matching contribution each payroll period. The current amount of matching contributions for which you are eligible depends on your hire date and participation in the Pension Plan for Union Employees.

If you were hired prior to July 1, 2017 and participate in the Pension Plan for Union Employees, you are eligible for a CHOP matching contribution of $.50 for every $1.00 contributed, up to 4% of pay.

If you were hired July 1, 2017 or later, you are eligible for a CHOP matching contribution of $.50 for every $1.00 contributed, up to 6% of pay.
Participants are eligible to begin contributing immediately in this plan. Employer contributions will be made upon your completion of one year of service. For more information please see the Summary Plan Description.
Vesting in this plan is immediate and applies to both the employee contribution and any CHOP matching contributions.
