What do you enjoy most about working at TIAA?
My colleagues in Equities; they're driven, they're experts on the industries that they cover, and they know their companies inside and out. On a more personal level, it's a diverse group of interesting, thoughtful, and down-to-earth individuals.
At TIAA, we're proud of our long-term investing approach. How does that come to life in your current position at TIAA?
We're not looking to make a quick profit in a few days or weeks. By identifying stocks that are fundamentally well positioned or undervalued, we seek to find investments that outperform their peers for long periods of time.
Who has inspired you most in your life and why?
My father. From observing him, I learned the values of hard work, being honest, and keeping your word. It's not always easy, but I've done my best to follow his example in life. I think it has served me well.
