Lisa Ferraro is a Managing Director and the Portfolio Manager for the infrastructure and energy portfolios. As portfolio manager, she sets investment strategy, approves new transactions and oversees over 65 high yield debt, equity fund, and direct equity investments totaling over $3.5 billion. The credits are monitored after origination and are actively managed to maximize returns and diversification. The portfolios include sectors dedicated to transportation, telecommunications, data, water, utilities, pipelines, renewable and gas-fired electricity plants, and energy reserves located in developed countries. Ms. Ferraro is a Board member for Polar Star Canadian Oil & Gas Company, Great Western Petroleum, the North American Sustainable Energy Fund and other TIAA owned portfolio companies. She serves as an investment committee member of Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners Fund I.
Ms. Ferraro joined TIAA in 1998 and has over 28 years of investment experience structuring and originating debt and equity transactions. Before starting TIAA’s energy and infrastructure direct equity initiatives in 2008, she held roles in the private placements group, public markets group and project finance group. Previously, she was a vice president at Prudential Capital where she covered utilities, project finance and energy companies.
Ms. Ferraro holds a B.S. Economics from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in finance from New York University.
