TIAA Web Accessibility Statement

TIAA recognizes the importance of providing a website that is accessible to everyone. To that end, we continuously improve the experience(s) to satisfy the Worldwide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the industry-defined standard, with a 6-month grace period to deliver the latest WCAG version. We strive to make content accessible to a wide range of people with disabilities that include accommodations for blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and cognitive limitations.

Accessibility on our site

This statement is meant to provide an overview of some of the accessibility concepts we are including, and features we are implementing, to help clients with disabilities navigate and utilize the TIAA.org website. Our site makes use of Portable Document Format (PDF). Certain documents on this site are available only in this format, which requires you to download and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader software. This software is free of charge.

We generally offer synchronized closed captioning on our website and mobile app with requested transcripts if not initially included.

Third–party hosted content

Our website may include content that is hosted by third-parties. Although this content is outside of our controlled codebase, we actively encourage our partners and vendors to comply with generally recognized guidelines for website accessibility.
