TIAA-CREF Will Manage Retirement Plan for Georgia’s Most Populous County
New York, May 30, 2013 — TIAA-CREF announced today that it has been selected to manage the 457(b) deferred-compensation plan for Fulton County employees. Fulton County’s plan has approximately 4,200 members and more than $90 million in assets.
Fulton County previously had four separate retirement administrators. Under the new agreement, which was effective Jan. 1, TIAA-CREF becomes the sole recordkeeper for the county’s plan. TIAA-CREF’s open-architecture recordkeeping solution simplifies retirement plan oversight, lowers plan administration costs and provides plan members with an efficient way to manage their retirement savings.
The solution also streamlines plan enrollment, manages employee contributions and gives Fulton County employees a comprehensive view of all the assets in their retirement plans. Fulton County employees also will have access to TIAA-CREF financial advisors, who provide personalized retirement advice tailored to individual goals at varying life stages. TIAA-CREF’s financial advice services are offered on site, over the phone and via the Web.
