October 26, 2020 – TIAA today unveiled a remote online notary service in partnership with Notarize.comOpens in a new window to help clients securely and conveniently fulfill notarization online at any time. Notarization is required to authenticate certain TIAA forms, including spousal waivers, wire transfers, retirement withdrawals, power of attorney and beneficiary related matters.
"On average, we see approximately 28,000 transactions per month requiring a notary signature, so our clients appreciate the ease and convenience of using a vetted remote online notary service," said Doug Chittenden, Head of Client Relationships at TIAA. "The ability to connect with a Notary Public 24 hours per day, seven days a week from any device, enables clients to execute their transactions without leaving their homes."
TIAA invites clients to visit Notarize.com/TIAAOpens in a new window and follow a few easy steps to ready their TIAA forms for notarization, verify identity and connect with a licensed online notary over live video to certify their forms. Once forms are notarized digitally, clients can return them to TIAA either through MyTIAA, a secure website, or the TIAA mobile app.
