TIAA recognized on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index

Marks the eighth consecutive year with a 100% rating

TIAA has once again received a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index, making this the eighth consecutive year of achieving the highest score possible.
The HRC is a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting fairness for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The group’s annual Corporate Equality Index survey evaluates companies on their policies and practices for LGBT employees.
“Since TIAA’s founding nearly a century ago, the diversity of our workforce has been one of our greatest strengths and a key enabler of our success,” said Roger Ferguson, President and CEO. “TIAA was created to serve and built to perform for the millions of people who count on us to help them pursue their unique definition of success.”
“To achieve our special mission, we must unlock the power that comes from the diverse skills and perspectives of our employees. As we continue to build an inclusive culture where every individual can bring their full potential and authentic self, we are proud to receive a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index for the eighth consecutive year.”
As part of this recognition, TIAA will be included on the HRC’s list of “Best Places to Work for LGBT employees.” To learn more about the Corporate Equality Index, read the full survey report and take a look at the complete Best Places to Work 2017 list .
