TIAA Receives 2019-2020 School Partner of the Year Award from Denver Public Schools Foundation

March/April 2021

The Denver Public Schools (DPS) Foundation's School Partners Program announced the 2019-2020 School Partners of the Year and TIAA is a winner in the Large Business category. This award is given to companies that "exemplify what business and community support in schools should look like".

School Partners like TIAA provide a combination of volunteer time, contributions and financial resources to meet the specific needs of their partner school. The DPS Foundation award is based on several factors, including length and span of the partnership, employee connectivity to the school, and areas of growth and need addressed by the partnership.

"TIAA has been proud to help support broadening college access for Bruce Randolph students. We have supported this effort through making connections to college admissions offices, providing transportation for students to attend school-wide college visits, and funding the annual Daddy Bruce Scholarship," said Charla Candy, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at TIAA.

The DPS Foundation is thrilled to recognize the partnerships and work of TIAA, Liberty Global, and Hyatt Regency Denver at the Convention Center.

"TIAA, Liberty Global, and Hyatt have all spent countless hours working with their partner schools to design partnerships that are meaningful and mutually beneficial to both companies and schools. Their partnerships represent the best of what happens when community connects with our classrooms," said Katie Wienecke, Corporate Engagement Manager of Denver Public Schools Foundation.
