Skip Spriggs is a seasoned HR executive who has served in senior business roles at several Fortune 500 companies across diverse industries over the last 25 years.
Mr. Spriggs is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at TIAA.
Mr. Spriggs joined TIAA in 2012. He oversees all aspects of human resources strategy and execution for the organization’s global workforce, including compensation and benefits; talent acquisition, assessment, and development; organizational design and effectiveness; and diversity and inclusion. His main focus is to ensure that TIAA’s talent and business strategies are fully aligned with the needs of the organization’s clients. He also oversees the TIAA Institute, which produces research and insights on issues pertaining to financial security and organizational effectiveness for the educational, nonprofit and public sectors.
Mr. Spriggs joined TIAA from Boston Scientific, where he was a member of the Executive Management Team and leader of the HR organization, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, policies, training and leadership development for more than 25,000 employees worldwide. Prior to Boston Scientific, Mr. Spriggs held executive leadership roles at The Home Depot, Levi Strauss & Co., and CIGNA Corp., where he served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Chief Diversity Officer and President of the Cigna Foundation. He started his career in HR with United Parcel Service.
