Marty Willis is responsible for ensuring that TIAA creates engaging and impactful marketing and communications that fully showcase its strengths, capabilities and values. She oversees the Marketing, Brand and Corporate Communications teams across TIAA, TIAA Bank and Nuveen.
Marty has more than 30 years of experience as a marketing, distribution, product development and business strategy leader, including roles at OppenheimerFunds, Fidelity Investments, and MFS. She has earned numerous industry awards for her transformational marketing and branding campaigns.
Marty joined the organization in 2016 as Chief Marketing Officer for Nuveen, where she created a unified brand strategy for TIAA’s asset manager and deployed client and product marketing, corporate and investment communications, and digital and brand strategies to anticipate and meet the evolving investment needs and outcome goals of clients.
She is on the board of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York, is a member of the Women’s Forum of New York and was one of the founding members of the Global Asset Management CMO Roundtable. Marty also served as chair of the Board of Regents and chair of the Investment Committee for The University of the South, her alma mater.
