Claire Borelli is the Chief People Officer at TIAA, with 30 years of distinguished experience leading human resources and human capital strategy across global financial services organizations. Since joining TIAA in August 2022, Claire has been a driving force behind transformative initiatives that elevate organizational effectiveness, talent development, and culture.

Previously, Claire spent over a decade at JPMorgan Chase, where she led HR for key divisions including Wealth Management and the Consumer Bank, and held senior HR roles at UBS Wealth Management and Merrill Lynch. Her career reflects a deep commitment to building high-performing, people-centric cultures and aligning talent strategy with business outcomes.

At TIAA, Claire is co-leading the company’s evolution into an AI-powered enterprise, championing an “associate-first AI philosophy” that positions technology as a co-pilot to human potential. Her leadership is reshaping the future of work through internal mobility programs, gig-based experiential learning, and AI fluency training, ensuring associates are equipped with future-ready skills.

Claire attended Temple University and has completed Columbia University’s Master's Program in Executive Coaching. Her dedication to equity and education is reflected in her board service with organizations such as the YWCA, Saint Joseph's University, Pierce College, and Year Up Greater Philadelphia. Claire lives with her husband John in Philadelphia, and they have five children.
